For the past 2 years we have held the Beast of the East Fall Conquest Half IM on this date. It was the same course as our Half IM we hold in May. We have decided that doing the same race two times in the same calendar year was to much, so we have decided to go back to our original weekend of events starting with the International Distance Triathlon on Saturday and the Sprint Triathlon on Sunday. We hope if you were with us to race in the Half IM in September you will join us for our Beast of the East Half IM on May 19, 2007.

Course maps for the International Distance Race below.

The swim course will be a triangular course that will go out from the beach and around the island off shore (pictured at the top of the map above) and back to the starting point. The course will be monitered on the far side of the island by patrol boats and the inside of swim course by non motorized rescue boats.

Bikes will leave the swim bike run transition area and out onto the roads for an 16 mile road bike race. Turn will be guarded by police and fire rescue units. Most of the course is on back roads with light traffic. Only 1 mile of the course is on a main road and there will be traffic control on that road. There are some hills to deal with, but nothing too long or steep to make your life miserable.
